Just give your name and show your ID. That's it.
Everything is in the computer.

Since you bought a ticket and hotel reservation through HOTELS.com I am assuming you are registered in their website. That being said, you should have gotten an email with your flight itinerary and hotel reservation details on it.

Do the following before travel.
1. Make sure the flight itinerary has a confirmation or reservation number on it. Note that airline confirmation # might be different Hotels.Com reservation number.
2. Although it is not necessary, you can call the specific airline and confirm the reservation with them.
3. If you are flying out of the country, usually the luggage is checked in through to the Port of Entry airport at the arriving country. For instance, if you are flying from Houston to London through Dallas, you luggage will be checked in to London from Houston. Also you are required to be at the airport atleast 2 to 3hrs before departure(depends on Airport) even though your international segment does not start in Houston.
4. Confirm with the airline about the luggage allowance. Every airline has their own baggage allowance policy for checked-in luggage. (For every pound over the allowance the penalty could vary from 8$ to 50$).
5. As for the hotel, call the hotel front desk provided in your e-mail and confirm the reservation.
6. You can cancel the hotel reservation and not be liable for the room charges as long as you cancel it 24hrs in advance.
Following is the link for Hotels.Com cancellation policy for hotel reservations.

I hope this helps. Enjoy your Trip.
