I've already checked the TSA site and it simply says "Gov't Photo ID required",the last time I traveled with someone who only had a Permanent Resident ID,they had a difficult time.

We encourage each adult traveler to keep his/her airline boarding pass and government-issued photo ID available until exiting the security checkpoint (children are not required to show identification). The absence of proper identification will result in additional screening.
In other words no ID extra screening. You still fly. I have seen TSA directives about what to do if no ID. No ID may aggravate them but check with your airlines. If it is in your contract with them(the airlines) to show a specific ID ... |
