What is the cheapest way to call from Capetown back to the US while travelling in South Africa?

There are 3 cell phone operators - Vodacom, MTN and Cell C. They are rather expensive to phone overseas though. Telkom is the only landline operator, see their rates at www.telkom.co.za. The cheapest way however is over the internet using Skype or a similiar program. I know skpye charges E0.017/min to phone most overseas destinations. it is free for PC-PC calls. (www.skype.com)

The best way is to ask your cellular network provider in the USA to activate international roaming for you before you leave USA. It will be cheaper to call from SA to USA using your mobile, but avoid incoming calls, they will terribly raise your bill.
