In all your travels which country had the rudest, most unfriendly people?

I went to France a couple of years ago and they were really rude! We went to a restaurant and we know the waiter spoke English becuase we heard him. However, when he was waiting on us he acted like he didn't understand anything, it was very annoying!!

No doubt about it - FRANCE

That would be France. We were down by the beaches of Normandy and wanted to buy a crepe from a vendor. She gave us a dirty look, I think because we spoke English. Anyway, the crepe was very good, but she sure seemed like she didn't want to sell it to us.

India.

Standing out as a westerner I spent 3 months being constantly grabbed at, stared at and followed around. All hassling for money and lying to me.

I suppose it wasn't unfriendly (in the same way as France!) but out of around 50 countries I have travelled around, it's one of the few I don't want to go back to.

Hang on, I've changed my mind...Nepal is even worse. It was like India except much more aggressive and dangerous!
