Although I am only a quarter Japanese, I can get very very "brown" when I get a tan. Do you think people will look at me differently, or just as an American? My dear friend is studying about S.A. and she brought this to my attention...just wanted to get a second opinion.

South Africans are generally very friendly and you should be treated well.
Some people (like myself - a minority unfortunately) might initially treat you with EXTREME CAUTION if we found out that you are American. I might treat you somewhat differently because of your 1/4 Japanese blood, I do find Asian men VERY sexy. Generally, I believe there is less racism in South africa than in USA. |
