It has taken me and my brother just over 2 weeks to get to England,so it don`t really leave you much time to get to SA.

Just fly. It is the easiest.

There are cruise ships that will take you down to Cape Town, but they take a long time and are expensive.

Across land, you would need to cross some extremely dodgy countries, and it would take you a looong time!

Just book the flight. You will be fine!

Take a cruise ship or book a cabin on a freighter.

I wouldn't travel trough Africa simply to get to South Africa. Firstly, you will be traveling through malaria and yellow fever zones, secondly, many areas are experiencing conflict, Algeria, Liberia, Central African Republic, Somalia, Eritrea, Congo, Sudan, and these are just to name a few. Trying to miss all conflict affected areas will only increase a all ready lengthy journey and traveling through them is dangerous. Thirdly, you will need to do a lot of planning if you wish to travel over land. There is no single train or bus service to take you all the way so you will need several different currencies to pay for transport in all the different countries. You will need to get shots to avoid picking up common diseases, and hope you don't get something else. You also need to remember that English isn't spoken throughout Africa, so in some countries you will probably need a translator to help you find you way.

Just go to a doctor, get some anti-anxiety pills, and hop on a plane.

Without flying it will probably take you about 2 weeks to get here, lol. I am not sure how to do it, but maybe speak to your travel agent.

LOL... Stay home kid. Boat, Bus, Train?? It's not like getting a eurail pass and jumping on a smooth running, on time transportation system. Many countries to go through, many choices to make, Many visas to arrange for and in some cases you may not get them. Don't think about the eastern route like some knob suggested, You'll die. In fact, judging my the fact that you think 2 weeks is enough time to get there.... You'll probably die anyway. If you really wanted to go overland, you'll be traveling by truck and bus. Plan on 3 months and be lucky if you made it in 2. Get a lonely planet book(15 years out of date in some areas) it will give you an Idea how to travel, and make for a good read while flying down there.

Going over land to S.Africa will be virtually impossible. There are civil wars everywhere right now.
Best to take a boat down. It is possible to take the ship to St. Helena, spend a week there and then go to Namibia and then S.Africa. Will take a while - much longer than 2 weeks.
