yeah i went to PALESTINE.

it was amazing. before the whole situation in the middle east. about 7 years ago.

i enjoyed it very much. it was like a breath of fresh air. it was really relaxing and the architecture is great.

the people there are great too. and the food is delicious. try "gyro" sandwiches. mmmm

I plan to go to Palestine soon. I am unable to afford it now, but within a few years, say three, I will go to Palestine but not the Jewish Occupied Palestine (JOP). I would rather visit the Gaza Strip of Palestine because I have great respect for Hamas. Yes, I agree with Larson, Arabic food is awesome. I like felafil (spelling). I wish I could speak Arabic.

No but I am going to Israel this summer! I'll be on a kibbutz with my friend and her family, I can't wait. Obviously I can't really tell you what it's like or if I enjoyed it, but I'm sure it will be great... although I know it gets really, really hot in the summer!

If you decide to go, I hope you have a wonderful time.

Shalom, Salaam

Yes, it's VERY VERY hot. Its perfect beach weather, it won't even rain, the food is wonderful, the ice cream is divine (try "frozen yogurt"- its not like american frozen yogurt) there is a ton of things to do from just relaxing to traveling.. be sure to check out the dead sea and to climb up masada at 5Am to see the sunrise--eilat to see the coral reefs, tel aviv to go shopping, tour, swim, eat, etc, jerusalem to see the wailing wall and ALL of the sights in jerusalem (too many to write) and further up north if you want a nice breeze in the late afternoon and cooler evenings. Many hiking/nature things to do in northern israel.

No.

Because it's hot and it's not safe to go there.

Is the emphasis on "summer"? I was in Israel in the summers of 1981 and 1982. At the moment I figure I don't live in Alaska to travel to hot places in the summer.

But if you are really just asking about traveling to Israel, then yes I have. I was there for three weeks earlier this month, and for two last December. I had a great time both times. We went all over Israel and did pretty much everything, from praying at the Western Wall to parasailing in Eilat.

I also lived there for a year in 1981 to 82.

I arrived for a six month stint on a kibbutz in July of 2001. It was hot! I really enjoyed it, but during the summer months it was really too hot to do much outside.
