I am meeting up with friends and will be hitting some golf courses but I am not sure if I need a car or not.
Also, we are looking to stay cheap (proalby Monte Carlo) and I am wondering if anyone knows if it is smarter to look around for a gold package or just set it up on our own. For that matter, does anyone have any reccomendations on some cheap courses? We are all hacks, so just looking to have fun. Thanks. sorry about the lack of spell check there. "gold pakcage" should be "golf package" |

I say choose black mountain, it is cheap and not too bad. also if you book golf with limo, you can get a discounted transportation, I would call 1800-VEGASVIP or check the link below to see the course detail. Good luck.

If you and your friends are planning to visit with your golf clubs then you will need a rental car. If not then you don't.
Monte Carlo is a great hotel and I will suggest booking directly with the hotel using a promo code in order to get a great rate. I am not sure when you plan to travel but they are currently runing a special for $69 /night weekday check-in. Expires in June. Here are the promo codes to get that rate. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/special.html |

The Monte Carlo had a fire in Feb. Here are some articles about it: http://www.rgtonline.com/Article.cfm?ArticleId=78544&CategoryName=Gaming%20 Life
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/27/us/27brfs-NOCHARGESINL_BRF.html Getting around by car is the easiest way to go. Look around for package deals. I belong to AAA & found a good deal on car rental + hotel room. Check out Yahoo! Travel, Orbitz & Travelocity.
