Where to travel in Africa?

My wife and I would like to take a vacation / safari in Africa, what country's, are the best and safest to explore, durring what months.
We are mostly concerned about war torn or unstable regions, kidnappings and asaults, high crime citys and countrys to avoid.
I have noticed the airfare from North America is quite costley do you have any tip's for saving on airfare?

Try kenya which borders tanzania. its exotic, safe, friendly and pocket friendly.

uganda is really beautiful. they have had a rough past but things are calm now. i lived there a few years ago and just fell in love with the place. i still hope to go back and visit one day. there are a few game parks and the people and culture are just lovely. for game parks, check out queen elizabeth or lake mburo. murchison falls is pretty awesome, too. airfare is the trick, though. it is really going to be expensive. i don't really have any tips on that, though.

Go for kenya,if you want to know what safari is!!Everything is perfect even Naomi campell was there during easter holidays.all year round is the best,but if you want to save then go during off peak like btwn april-july when the hotel rates are down
