Have you worked for Alaska Travel Adventures?

My child is smitten with a summer job w/ this company. Do the perform as they promise? Can you come home w/ money or is it eaten by the high cost of living? Do they help in a medical emergency? Thanks

They are an established and well respected company in Alaska (at least in Juneau). But the cost of living is high and I doubt they pay a liveable wage. You can expect an experience but not a paycheck. Of course they would help in a medical emergency. ANY Alaskan would. We're not like down south where people watch each other get hurt and do nothing to help. Helping people out in time of emergency is part of our culture and Alaskans come together like nowhere else on the planet.
