I am traveling to New Zealand and enjoy adventure travel (bungy, sky dving, etc.) where should I go and do?

I'm traveling the first week of March in 07.

go skiing in Queesntown, on the north island.

I would have to agree with the others. Queenstown offers many different types of adventure activities some of which include bungy jumping and jet boating.

There's bungy jumping almost everywhere in New Zealand. Where there's a bridge, high mountain ridge, there will likely be a bungy-jumping company there. There's one in Auckland, at the Sky Tower or jumping over the Harbour Bridge. There's also one in Taupo, if you want to stay in the North Island. But if you want to go for the extreme, try Queenstown or Wanaka. There will be many bungy-jumping companies there too, as well as ski resorts in both locations.
In the South Island, there are snowy mountains and glaciers, especially in the Southern Alps, where you can do some skiing. In the North Island, there is Mount Ruapehu, next to Rotorua, and I think that's it.

Apparently though, "The New Zealand ski season is roughly early July to early October", so if you're really lucky, there may still be some snow left. Although, judging by the weather now, I think the snow will stay for a while yet, since it's still hailing in the middle of summer... O_o

Canyoning in Wanaka is awesome!

I have not been to New Zealand, but if you look up Trip Advisor, you will find many forums, including one on New Zealand. That site is a great surce of information. Good Luck and have fun!.

Queenstown is THE place to go in NZ. I was there in 2004. Here's a recommendation for you....bungy jumping from just under the gondola in Queenstown. I didn't do it, but God it looked freaky! And if you have never canyon swinged....please try....I DID do that and it was a thrill. I believe there is a website on it...www.canyonswing.com.

Queenstown, no doubt. March is a good month to go. The weather is nice - it can get a bit chilly though. Plenty of opps for bungy, skydiving, rafting, anything you can think of. Do the Nevis - great bungy. Good nightlife.
BTW - Queenstown is on the South Island, not the north.

Check out AJHackett Queenstown Nevis Bungy Jump. Both my daughters did the jump and it was 440 feet of adrenaline junkie heaven. You're going to the right place and the Kiwi's are an awesome people. I'd recommend Queenstown. Bring a good appetite and check out the 19 and Wai in Queenstown. Amisfield Winery (reservations recommended) for awesome tapas type food. Saffron in Arrowtown. Habebe's for a great lunch (reasonable Queenstown prices). Get your coffee at Starbuck's and Patagonia for weird ice cream flavors. Oh yeah and free wine tasting at the vineyards. I guess you can tell, I was more about the food and wine...
